Alan's 1st Birthday Party

Wow what a special year it has been!!! This is a very happy (but emotional blog for Mommy), we celebrated Alan's birthday with all of his friend's at our house on March 13th, which was a few days past his brthday, but it was the day that we brought him home from the hospital (last year) so we thought it was quite a day for a celebration. I did an "Old McDonald had a Farm" Theme". It was a beautiful day and lot's of our friend's and family members were able to be here and we are so thankful for that, it was certainly a special day for Alan.
I just want to say how blessed Jack and I feel that God picked us to be Alan's parents. He certainly melts both of our hearts. Being a parent and a wife is most definitely two the greatest honors that God could have given me.
I took Alan to the Dr. for his one year well visit and these are his stats
weight: 21 lbs. 3 ozs.
length: 28 1/2 in.
head circumference: 18 1/4

Some of the things Alan is doing right now are feeding himself a few things like cheerios & puffs, we are about to try whole milk and we are eating some big people food, he is saying hi, da - da & mmm - mmm (meaning something is good), he loves being outside, taking his bath, riding in his car (and honking the horn) and also riding his firetruck (backwards, ha ha), he can crawl anywhere, pull up on anything, and he likes to wave bye bye.

Alan's Family Birthday Party

We went to Decatur to celebrate Alan's birthday the weekend of Valentine's Day, but I wanted to wait until after his party here to post the pictures from both parties. So here are some pictures from his family party. Most of the Lott & Anglea families got to come but we were missing a few Aunt's, Uncle's & Cousin's, but we were so thankful to have everyone there that could make it and one of Alan's Godparent's also got to come (the other one had to work), and her children came too (it was a very special day for him).

Alan's 1st Trip to the Park...

A few weekends ago we took Alan to the park for his first time and I think he really liked it. There were not that many activities there for him but he did get to swing and we all enjoyed the beautiful weather.

I am so sorry that it has been a little while since I have put anything on the blog. We have been quite busy and also all 3 of us have been sick at some point in time, so we hope that things are getting MUCH better around here including the weather.

One of our really good friend's had their son christened on February 21st and we were invited to be apart of the ceremony and the lunch they had afterwards, everything was so nice and we were so honored to be a part of such a special occasion. I hope that Alan and Troy will be friends for a long long time.

Alan's First Birthday...

One year ago today was one of the best days of my life, this little guy was born into our family. He was born at 3:19 p.m. on March 3rd, 2009, he was only 4 lbs. 15 ozs and 19 in. long. He is an absolute gift from God and his Daddy and I love him so much.

I will post more about his special day after his party
We Love You Alan & Happy First Birthday
