The Little Patient

Alan had a little minor surgery yesterday to remove a hernia that he was born with. Everything went great, but mommy & daddy and the rest of the family are very relieved that it is over and he is fine now. He does have his days and nights mixed up a little after sleeping so much yesterday but hopefully we will get past that. I just had to post these cute pictures of him in his little hospital gown.

War Eagle!!!

This past Saturday Jack and I took Alan to tailgate for the first time and he had fun and he was a great baby all day. We did lots of walking, had lots of good food and company.

Here is Alan with two of his great-aunts (Jack's Aunts)

We all three had a great time and the best part was that Auburn won!!!

Alan's Christening

This is going to be a long post so be ready but it was a very special day for a very special baby.
I just want to share a little background on the christening gown that he wore, the gown was made for me (his mom) by his great great grandmother, and I know that yesterday she was looking down on all of us from Heaven smiling and so happy that he was wearing it on such a happy occasion (also 3 other people in our family have worn the gown including his aunt Abi)

Here is Alan's Great Grandmother dressing him (her mother made the gown)

The is what Alan's present was wrapped in from Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Jane and our cousins Will & Mary Alice, Alan liked it so much that he wanted to post it on his blog so that all of his friends could see it.
This was a special day for Jack and I we promised to bring Alan up in Christian home. The majority of our family was there and we cannot tell you how much that means to us, but we did miss those of you who could not be with us. Alan was very good during the service and we enjoyed our weekend with everyone.
Make sure to read the Decatur post before this one!!!

Decatur

We just returned home from a wonderful trip to Decatur to see our family and have our son christened, the entire weekend was great. I got to celebrate my birthday Saturday with all of these wonderful people (I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family). We did miss Aunt Abi "Juicy" and Jimmy, Jane, Will, Mary Alice, & Kayla on Saturday.

When we first arrived to LeeLee & BigDaddy's our friends Emma Hensley and Miriam/Mimi came to see us and Alan was not in a very good mood and Emma Hensley was not so sure about him crying. I dont think she knows what is about to happen at her house!!!

6 Months Old

Our baby is 6 months old today, I can't believe it, where has the time gone.
We are headed to Decatur tomorrow to have him christened and be with family and we can't wait. We hate to not be at home for the first Auburn football game, but there will be many more and Alan can't wait to see his family.

I have not been very good lately about taking pictures, I will try to do better and I will update when we are back from his big day.
