Alan's Christening

This is going to be a long post so be ready but it was a very special day for a very special baby.
I just want to share a little background on the christening gown that he wore, the gown was made for me (his mom) by his great great grandmother, and I know that yesterday she was looking down on all of us from Heaven smiling and so happy that he was wearing it on such a happy occasion (also 3 other people in our family have worn the gown including his aunt Abi)

Here is Alan's Great Grandmother dressing him (her mother made the gown)
Mommy & Daddy with Alan on special day

LeeLee & BigDaddy with Alan
Mama G & Alan (my mom's mother)
Alan & Grandmother (my dad's mother)
The Lott Family (Aunt Abi could not be there)

Jack, Laura & Alan with The Waters (Alan's Godparents)
Will, Holly, Lil Will & Belle

MawMaw, PawPAw & Alan

The Anglea's

Looking at Daddy and holding his feet (by the way this was during the service)

The beautiful christening cap that Mrs. Patti Stutts made for Alan for this special day

Yummy cake

Alan with Dr. Greer & Rev. Butler
Dr. Greer married Mommy & Daddy
The whole gang (The Anglea's & Lott's)
The is what Alan's present was wrapped in from Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Jane and our cousins Will & Mary Alice, Alan liked it so much that he wanted to post it on his blog so that all of his friends could see it.
This was a special day for Jack and I we promised to bring Alan up in Christian home. The majority of our family was there and we cannot tell you how much that means to us, but we did miss those of you who could not be with us. Alan was very good during the service and we enjoyed our weekend with everyone.
Make sure to read the Decatur post before this one!!!
